NYFW: Titania Inglis Spring 2011

Brooklyn-based designer Titania Inglis is stepping lightly into Spring 2011 with a finely-tuned collection of exquisite pieces inspired by zen serenity and subtle hues from the floating world. These artful, bias-cut pieces are origami-like in their folds and illusion of simplicity, while also functioning sustainably in their well-researched range of versatile, eco-conscious materials.
Titania Inglis Spring 2011's fabrics include natural-indigo-dyed organic denim from Japan; an organic cotton shirting, also from Japan; and an organic cotton-silk blend from Italy. The latter two fabrics were hand-dyed by the designer with madder and tea. With cool dressing options like Inglis' cocoon pants, reverse dress, and superwide pants, trans-seasonal dressing options are carefree and oh so, stylish.

Titania Inglis Fall 2010 collection is available at the following NYC boutiques. The Spring collection is currently available for pre-order. You can follow the designer's process via her informative blog, Fade To Green.
